RATING: 4 STARS

I never thought birds could be very much helpful during wars, until I watched Valiant. I went to the moviehouse not expecting anything regarding wars or whatever. I just went to enjoy an animated movie. Those who have read my reviews must have noticed my sweet inclination to animations and cartoons, so you probably have known something about the reason why I watch these stuff. I just enjoy the company of entities that are personified by computer graphics and visual effects, be it living or non-living entities.

So, I watched and I was very amused. The characters are so cute. The effects are great. The story is compelling. I was moved by the courage and bravery of the pigeons assigned to deliver a very important message to the Allied Nations [I think]. A message that would bring triumph over the enemy and would eventually bring peace and freedom to their country, [Britain?]. Well, I am not so sure about the facts, but I guess the most important thing is they fought for freedom during the World War.

Whew, an animation that has historical relevance. This is a nice switch from the common ground of animated movies. Valiant is somewhat deep, but still very enjoyable for the kids and the kids-at-heart. This is not showing in cinemas anymore, so just watch this in DVD or VCD. Truly, a feast for the eyes and for the heart.
